Welcome to My Ugandan Child

We are a non-profit organization (Community Based Organization )that transforms at community level. Our projects bring change to all community members and we don't discriminate against culture , race,religion and back ground. We involve community leaders in all aspects of our work; by building these toilets with us, community members know how to continue working on the projects that are already established. Our work started in kasese, a country where a large number of the population has access to quality water, Education, health,human rights,early pregnancy,Environment ,Agriculture and  Community Empowerment are using their limited resources to bring a big change to the community that are affected by the problems that the project is solving .

 

 

 

MY UGANDAN CHILD OBJECTIVES

  1. To enhance poverty eradication through promoting a culture of savings and credit, sustainable agriculture, domestic violence ,environment management and disaster response.
  2. To promote health and hygiene among the poor communities
  3. To support the well fare of vulnerable groups like orphans, children, and elderly and marginalized women
  4. To promote innovative life skill trainings for the poor to earn a living.

 

 

  BACKGROUND

 

My Ugandan Child is a non profit, non governmental and community based/driven Foundation and was founded in November 2009 by two friends Mrs Kabougho Joselyne , Mumbere Edwin and Muhindo Frank . They were concerned with eliminating the suffering of the poor families affected with problems like diseases, poverty, domestic violence, famine and illiteracy.

 

In 2010 Joselyne and  Rose Fanta mobelized more community members and in September 2010 a foundation  in the name of My Ugandan Child  was registered under the legal authority of Kasese District local government community development department NGO/CBO desk registration NO.1001.
